The pastor and theologian, Voddie Baucham, once observed, “I’m not saying it’s bad to have things, it’s bad when things have you.”
Possessions are gifts, and can ultimately be used to the glory of God. But they should never replace the gift giver. As we live in this temporal world, we pray that this message would be true of us, as well as you, our listeners; that the Lord would be the sole recipient of our worship.
