Chapter 2, Paragraph 1 taken from the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith (1689), tells us; “The Lord our God is one, the only living and true God. He is self-existent and infinite in being and perfection. His essence cannot be understood by anyone but him.”
While we can’t exhaustively know all of God, drawing from the scriptures, we hope to extrapolate and show that we can know the essentials; and answer the question; “What is God?”.
Q. What is God?A. God is Spirit (Joh 4:24), infinite (Job 11:7), eternal (Psa 90:2; 1Ti 1:17), and unchangeable (Jam 1:17) in His being(Exo 3:14), wisdom, power (Psa 147:5), holiness (Rev 4:8), justice, goodness, and truth (Exo 34:6-7).
