Our first parents, Adam and Eve were created in a manner which was upright and perfect. However, in a short period of time, as the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith (1689), puts it; “Satan used the craftiness of the serpent to seduce Eve, who then seduced Adam. Adam acted without any outside compulsion and deliberately transgressed the law of their creation and the command given to them by eating the forbidden fruit.”
As a result, all mankind is bound in sin by the implications of Adam’s fall. Today, we discuss what this means for us as Adam and Eve’s progeny, and how the Lord has purposed for sinners to be made whole.
