"The Bourne Identity" by Robert Ludlum is a book about a man who is rescued at sea, with no memory of who he is. The doctor charged with nursing him back to health realizes that he has some very unique qualities and abilities. As parts of his memory begin to come back, the man, without even knowing his name, leaves for Switzerland to try to find out who he is. In Switzerland there is an immediate attack on his life. As he runs from his would be killers across Europe, his memory comes back in bits and pieces. With the help of a woman he rescues, he discovers more about his past and the people trying to kill him.
