In this episode I’m interviewing sculptor Sabin Howard. We’re discussing dire state and proliferation of modern and post-modern art and its impacts on culture and politics as well as his majestic 58-foot-long bronze artwork called "A Soldier's Journey" he recently delivered for the WW1 Memorial site in Washington D.C.
We also dive into Sabin’s journey – from his early influences and classical training to his battles through the concentric circles of seemingly impenetrable governmental bureaucracy and art establishment. We talk about what drives his passion for creating grand works of enduring beauty and his vision for a future where art can once again serve as a beacon of hope and transcendence. If you’ve ever felt disillusioned with the state of modern art or wondered what it would take to spark a renaissance in our time, this interview is for you.
