Reel Conversations is a film podcast that seeks to highlight the history of the Real to Reel International Film Festival, presented by the Cleveland County Arts Council. In this conversation, festival director Thomas Manning speaks with filmmaker John Gray about "Extra Innings," an award-winning Real to Reel selection starring Peter Riegert and TJ Thyne that won Best Professional Short in 2020.
Gray is also known for his work as the creator of "Ghost Whisperer" on CBS, and directing episodes of "Grimm" on NBC. Additionally, he wrote and directed the feature film "White Irish Drinkers" in 2010.
Real to Reel is celebrating 25 years with the 2024 festival, which will be held July 24-27 at the Joy Performance Center in Kings Mountain, NC.
