Danesha & Andre Smith are philanthropists and entrepreneurs based out of Atlanta. Both HBCU graduates, Clark Atlanta & Southern University respectively, came to understand the gaps that exist in wealth through exposure and their experiences.
To bridge that gap, they founded Shine2Inspire, a nonprofit focused on empowering young women to learn through various programs like Shine U, one of the many programs that give these young women tools from financial literacy to professional development so they can learn the entrepreneurship trade.
While the Smiths know that some of the building blocks are taught, real education begins with true mentorship and hands-on experience which many academic settings lack.
Let's just say they are doing what needs to be done to empower these young women with opportunities through exposure, scholarships, and internships.
