Description

On this episode you will hear from our friend, Rakhi.

Diabetes is truly all Rakhi knows, having been diagnosed at the age of 4, almost a 1/4 of a century ago!

Something I must insert is that shortly after her own diagnosis, her father was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.

Later on in our conversation I found out that her grandfather also lived with type 1 diabetes and how she

remembers him even pricking his fingers over the years. But like with many things, there were no conversations about it. She also has a little cousin that lives with Type One Diabetes.

Since diabetes is such a great part of the person that she is, on the day a cure is here, her only plan is to keep living!

Being from the UK we speak about a multitude of things including accesses to technology and community.

Today, Rakhi has a great support system that helps her be at her best! Rakhi is as solid as a rock and her Dan, yes, her Dan is as pure as Gold.

Rakhi truly wants to be a part of the space that help lessen the burden that is living with Type One Diabetes.

Not only does she gift of pure hope and joy with her forever standing smile and cheer, but she explains throughout how diabetes, although a burden it has not limited her in continuing to chase her dreams!

Our friend, my sister Rakhi is someone we all should get to know in not only this space but overall because

she values friendships!
