On today's episode I have the honor of speaking to the young, vibrant, tell it like it is,
no holds barred, 10 years old Chicken!
Chicken is the younger sister of one of my first guests, Nechi
I first met Chicken back in October 2023 when I was filming a video for World Diabetes Day 2023,
Diabetes Looks Like Who? Representation Matters!
I applaud Chicken and Nechi for joining me.
Chicken is about to turn 11 in August and about to begin her life as a preteen
middle schooler and come July 17th she will be having lived with Type 1 diabetes for 4 years (diagnosed July 17, 2020)
In this episode you will hear the most authentic gift from a 10-year-old!
Chicken wanted to talk about school and diabetes, and if you are a parent of a child living with T1D
you will receive many gems from this conversation.
Chicken tells us about the emotions of living with diabetes, the true unfairness of a child being restricted
in truly being a child. We also tap into school accommodations; making sure that our young are gifted
the opportunity to just be regular kids. In this episode you will smile, you will receive direct information
that you can share with anyone that interacts with your T1d child.
Cheer on Chicken as she navigates this life that is living with Diabetes, even as she sheds tears of diabetes fears
and tears of joy for the love of her family!
She is mature beyond her years, and you should all know that even with Diabetes
Chicken Little's Sky is not Falling
Chicken is so confident and powerful!!
Oscar her please!!
