In this debut episode an overview of the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) is provided by experts Dr Steven Mathetsa from the African Energy Leadership Center at the Wits Business School and Kiren Maharaj, the Board Chairperson of SANEA, the South African National Energy Association. The IRP is a key South African energy policy document open for public comment until 23 March 2024. The episode lays a foundation for engagement by South Africans with the IRP and helps ordinary South African citizens understand its significance and implications for South Africa.
