With Dillon under the weather, Steve, Jake, and Braxton recap a full-contact weekend of racing at Circuit of the Americas for all three NASCAR national touring series, including Zane Smith's flaming hot celebration after winning the Truck Series race, AJ Allmendinger's clinic in the Xfinity Series race, and Tyler Reddick running away with the Cup Series win while nearly everyone else banged into each other behind him. They also discuss a perceived lack of respect amongst the Cup Series drivers that leads to hard contact week after week, and what can be done to help encourage cleaner racing at restarts on many road courses throughout the series. As an aside, the guys briefly go into how they would rework the NASCAR schedule as well. Jake's "Pop Up Showers" segment led to discussion about Kurt Busch's call at the end of the Cup race, some post-race conversations between teammates, and NHRA marking the final event at the famed Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Arizona. Steve's #CloudyMailbag questions led to more discussion of the finances of NASCAR. Next up for the Cup and Xfinity Series is Richmond Raceway, while the Truck Series shares Texas Motor Speedway with IndyCar. Plus, as always, our real and random picks.
