A Dickens' tale where The Shadow visits a "Scrooge" named Daniel Carver. Carver is an industrial magnate who owns a mill and also owns the factory town next to it, "Carverville". Carverville is a nightmarish slum where desperately poor workers, wage slaves to Carver, live in poorly built homes. Will the Shadow help Carver see the error of his ways and understand the Christmas spirit?
