A man and his wife work in the business of making contact with people's deceased relatives. The man's brother comes along broke looking for a place to stay. He's invited in so he can use his woodworking skills for a special task: making ghosts. The three of them work the racket to perfection, parting numerous fools from their money. There's one problem: hundreds of dollars are being saved each week by Hubert, with only small amounts given to Virginia and Monk. They hatch a plan to change this situation.
