Caroline Burckle is a 23-time All American and 2-time NCAA Champion swimmer, who was crowned NCAA Female Swimmer of the Year in 2008 after breaking a legendary 500 freestyle record. Later that same year, Caroline qualified for the Olympic Games in Beijing and won bronze in the women’s 4×200 freestyle relay.
When she decided to transition from being an Olympic athlete, in her words, she “continued to chase that high - the validation” she felt from being an elite athlete. During that chase, she ran her body into bouts of depression and unnerving injuries, which she speaks about in this episode. This is when she began to realize that mind and body are incredibly interconnected, and began her healing journey. Now, she finds herself working with high performers of all types at a company called Finding Mastery.
