Hady Ghoneim is a martial arts competitor and instructor based in St. John’s, Newfoundland, he immigrated from Egypt in 2017 and quickly fell in love with the island and its people. Now a proud Newfoundlander, he’s driven by a bold goal—to bring home a world championship title for the province and become the first Egyptian “salt beef” to do it. A four-time Canadian National Champion and current member of Team Canada, he recently claimed gold at the North American Kickboxing Championships.
