Black Maternal Health Week 2024 is here and maternal mortality (death) rates continue to rise in this country at alarming rates. This is especially true for black women who are THREE TIMES more likely to die during pregnancy, childbirth and the year after birth. We can blame racism. However, what if the cause was actually something much more obvious. In this episode, we discuss how the healthcare system is failing it's students, doctors and patients. Pretty much everyone.
