Imam Fuad was born in Ethiopia and was raised in Seattle,WA. During his teen years, he found it difficult to find people in his community he could to relate to. So he became inspired to learn more about his Deen so that one day he can be an example for the youth who were just like him in his teen years.
He became a personal student of the Imam at Masjid AR Rahman and learned various books of Hadith starting from Arbaeen through Al-Bukhari and finished memorizing the Holy Quran. After graduating high school he became eager to study oversees. So he traveled to Cairo, Egypt where he went on to study the Islamic sciences which include Arabic, Tafseer, Fiqh Hadith, and Aqidah with specialization in the Shafi School. He graduated with an Arabic Diploma from Al-Kalima Institute and earned an Islamic diploma in Sharia from Al-Furqaan. He attended Al-Azhar until he had leave the country due to the unrest caused by the coup d’etat. After returning to Seattle in 2014 he continued his studies with the local imams in the Puget Sound area and started teaching in numerous Madarasah’s in the local area including Islamic Center of Eastside, Masjid AR Rahman, MAPS, Masjid Tawheed, and Mercy Association Center.
Imam Fuad was the former Imam of Tawhid Islamic Center and now is the current Imam of Masjid al- Furqan the second largest Islamic center in Washington State and Executive Director of MAS White Center.
He is currently working on getting a masters degree in linguistics, with plans of translating Islamic books from Arabic to english. He has written a Hashi of the 40 Hadith of Imam Nawawi. He is in the process of writing various books on the doubtful matters of Islam.
