In this inspiring episode, we are joined by Caterina Moraga-Scholte she takes us through her remarkable journey from being the daughter of refugees to The Netherlands to becoming a successful and resilient women who has found herself. Cat describes herself as a dreamer, a connector, and a storyteller.

Cat opens up about her upbringing in a refugee household, where her parents provided everything they could, creating an environment of love and support. Despite this, outside of her home Cat felt alone and trapped, not understood and struggled being different to everyone else around her. Cat shares candid insights into her desire to change her name and fit in with those around her, seeking acceptance and a sense of normalcy. She recalls how she locked away parts of herself in an effort to hold everything together, ultimately realising that only she could initiate change.

Growing up, Cat faced numerous challenges, including a traumatic incident at school and feeling the pressure to live up to her parents' sacrifices. She had to do better. She talks about becoming more self-aware in recent years, pushing boundaries as a cheeky kid with an amazing imagination to today the woman she so confidently is. Despite feeling lonely and falling into bad company Cat maintained her core values and refused to succumb to the negative influences around her.

Cat's resilience and determination shine through as she recounts her path to financial stability, buying her first house at the age of 21 after choosing to work at 17. She emphasises the importance of daring to dream and putting in the hard work to make those dreams a reality. Cat's story is a testament to the power of hard work, dreaming and the courage to stay true to oneself.

Throughout the episode, Cat also touches on the challenges of her mother's depression and how it influenced her desire to break free and find her own path. She discusses the importance of being there for her children, understanding their struggles, and providing them with the support they need to thrive in a difficult world.
