We talked about his musical influences, the writing process, and what it's like to transition from working in a band to being a solo artist. Richards made waves in the '90s with an award-winning hit song "Counting Blue Cars" with his band Dishwalla from their 1995 debut album. The song was ranked as the most played track of 1996.
