In the Old Testament, the Jewish people had a high priest. Men, from the line of Aaron, would serve as the middleman between the people and God. They would offer sacrifices to God on behalf of the entire nation of Israel. Today, Jesus is our High Priest. He has offered the Greatest Sacrifice of all time, Himself.
