Nick Smith’s story has been a wild ride. From the pulpit to the boardroom, with a passion for purpose-driven leadership guiding him every step of the way. Nick began his career as a pastor, serving as the Regional Director at Next Level Church. There, he had the incredible privilege of helping to grow one of the fastest-growing churches in America.
Leading a church community taught Nick about the power of connection, the importance of authentic communication, and how to inspire people toward a shared vision. It was about more than just numbers; it was about touching lives and making a difference. But as much as Nick loved ministry, he felt called to take those same principles of leadership and apply them in a new direction. That’s how he found himself in the world of Pharma and digital marketing—a path that, at first glance, might seem like a leap, but to Nick, it was a natural evolution.
Today, as the President of Loud Canvas Media, Nick oversees a company that supports over 1,000 websites and 400 active clients. My work in Pharma has been particularly rewarding, where I’ve had the chance to help sick people get the medicine they need. Just like in ministry, this work is about more than just strategy—it’s about understanding the real human impact behind the products and services we bring to market. “From Pastor to Pharma” isn’t just a catchy phrase—it’s a reflection of Nick’s journey.
Along the way, Nick learned that whether you’re leading a church or launching a life-saving treatment, the principles of leadership, communication, and purpose remain the same. Regardless of whether the audience is patients or parishioners, they are people.
