The 2 ACT Podcast returns with an exciting new episode featuring our very first guest!
Hicks a close friend of Adi, is a design student from SCAD Atlanta and a die hard fan of the Alien films. Named after the famous sergeant from Aliens (1986), Hicks grew up inspired by the Alien universe and brings his enthusiasm and expertise to join hosts Adi and Jon discuss the latest entry in the Alien franchise - Alien Romulus (2024) produced by Ridley Scott, directed by Fede Alvarez and starring Cailee Spaeny.
Evoking the genetic f***ery that always spells doom in these movies, Alien: Romulus is a taut genre film made to attract newer fans to the franchise. Hicks draws from how Romulus is influenced by the earlier Alien films and his experience playing the game Alien: Isolation.
The hosts weigh in on the film's impressive technical achievements to create horror as opposed to its familiar predictable procedures with deaths.
Tune in as the lads bullshit, joke and critique the film to death!
