Jesus, unlike others who suffered unwillingly, He willingly gave His life in obedience to God’s will, laying it down and taking it up again. Through His sacrifice, believers are offered abundant life, freedom, and green pastures, and His example teaches us to submit our self-will to God, even when it conflicts with our desires. Believers are called to follow Jesus faithfully—repenting, confessing, and being baptized—and to live as a daily, living sacrifice in gratitude for His voluntary gift.
