Joe Stone is Head of Audience Development for LA-based podcast production company Jam Street Media. He is also the founding member of What They Signed Up For a non-profit telling the stories of OIF and OEF veterans, and is a US Army, service-disabled combat veteran who served in places like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo Bay. His 15-year, enlisted military career was ultimately successful, but tumultuous. He earned more than a dozen medals - including a Bronze Star Medal as a young Sergeant (E-5) during his first tour in Iraq. He also (twice) went through a divorce while in uniform, had friends who took their own lives or succumbed to their own chemical dependencies, and struggled with his own reintegration and coming to grips post-traumatic stress. Joe currently lives in Vancouver, Washington with his wife Elizabeth and their blended family of four (plus two dogs and a cat).
