In our sixth Season Preview for 2022, Peps chats to James Brooks about the Lions not only roaring back into another finals series but to become kings of the AFL jungle for the first time since 2003.
James started his love for radio when he was just 15 years old taking time away from ‘regular’ school to achieve his certificate III and IV in broadcasting. He then started broadcasting on local community radio stations and was soon told by his mates that he was ‘going to be the next Rove McManus’
After graduating uni and taking time off to work and travel James came back to his roots and got his first job handing out the icy cold cans of coke as a promo guy in Brisbane. It wasn’t long before he found himself in a full time radio gig after annoying everyone around him for experience opportunities. These days you can find him hosting all sorts of on air programs on Rebel FM.
Away from work James has a huge passion for sport. especially AFL and lives in Brisbane with his Wife, young son, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Although he is still acclimatising to the Queesnland heat, he enjoys nothing more than a beer on the deck in the arvo with some test cricket on the TV
