This week Joy and Laura are talking about season 3 episode 2 “The Kids Are Alright”. Sam and Dean investigate a town where Changelings have replaced many of the children; and Dean reconnects with a woman he had a fling with just over 8 years ago, and her 8 year old son!
We discuss how we think Ben is definitely Dean’s son, how the episode points out the horrors of motherhood, and how good Supernatural is at horror-comedy.
We also discuss the strong powerful women on the show so far, whether fae finished making that rocking horse from the start, and Laura has a rant about the “red dirt”.
Joy’s Easter eggs are about Changeling and Faery lore and how it matches the lore in the episode; and the case of Bridget Cleary who was accused of being a changeling and killed.
