Starting in 1974, a serial killer was attacking gay men in San Francisco. He would draw their pictures, earning their trust, before violently murdering them.
He was never caught. But 50 years later, is this cold case solvable? A San Francisco police detective is looking into the case. And there's a unique theater experience trying to bring attention to it at the Rhino, the longest-running queer theater in America.
This is a Preview of The Doodler, hosted by San Francisco Chronicle writer Kevin Fagan.
