In Revelation chapter ten, John’s vision shifts to a mighty angel with an important message from God. As part of the message, John is instructed to follow in the footsteps of his prophetic ancestor, Ezekiel. By actually eating a scroll, John must internalize God’s message so he can share it with others. In doing so, he makes the mystery of the Gospel known to the nations.
