Hello everyone- Back again with some golf course architecture, construction, and design talk today with Ben Hillard!
Ben has been on the run of a lifetime working with Gil Hanse, Jim Wagner, & bits and pieces of the caveman team to restore, build, and renew some of America's most significant golf courses. And with no intention of stopping, we discuss the factors at play in earning a career in this space.
It's hard work- with a moving office- and with a family, it has given Ben a focus that propelled him from his early days to where he is now having a heavier hand in design.
Beyond the grind- there are many sunrises and sunsets on beautiful bits of land. Ben has the outlet to create and iterate with good friends and colleagues, to experience different parts of the world with his family, and the building skillset to run the show should he choose.
