In this Grimm tale, a princess loses her golden ball in a well and is promised its return by a talking frog. Despite her reluctance, she agrees to his demands and receives the ball in exchange for a vow of companionship. However, when the frog fulfills his end of the bargain, the princess is hesitant to keep her promise. Eventually, her father insists, and the frog is allowed into the castle, where he transforms into a prince.
