Dorothy Stratten was on a fast track to stardom after she had been discovered by Playboy in 1979. Her career quickly transitioned from her being a waitress at a Dairy Queen in Vancouver Canada, to being named the Playboy Playmate for the month of August in 1979, to being named Playmate of the year in 1980. By the end of 1979 and in early 1980, Dorothy begun to experience success as a TV and movie actress. However, on Aug 14, 1980, 20-year-old Dorothy would meet with her soon to be ex-husband, Paul Snider to discuss their divorce settlement. Sadly, this would be the last meeting Dorothy ever had.
