Jesus came to dwell with us - Emmanuel. We beheld the Word made flesh. We beheld His glory as of the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth. Jesus with us, He healed our sick, raised the dead, multiplied bread and fishes. It was a lovely experience having God walked on the earth. Then Jesus says, I have to go. How? The objective for Jesus coming was not to dwell with us but rather, show us how the life of God in man lives. Then He Jesus can dwell in us and live through us. The greatest spiritual experience is when a man receives the Holy Spirit into him and allows the Spirit to live through him. I will not leave you comfortless, says the Lord. So you are not alone.
