The world and the lust thereof are passing away. But the one who does the will of God, the same abides forever. Mankind is torn between the will of God and the attractions of this world. Let’s not forget - the attractions of this world is a distraction from the Father. Is it not that God created all things to be a tool in the hands of man to enable him fulfill God’s plan? Why should man pursue the things that have been created to be means as ends? When we begin to live for the things of this world we have already lost the love of the Father.
