Danny Garcia was born in the Spanish Harlem community of New York City, on March 18, 1945. His parents, American-born, are of Cuban ancestry.
Since 1996, by the grace of God, Danny has walked more than 52,000,000 steps (over 26,000 miles) around the world on seven continents for children and world peace.He served in the US Marine Corps, law enforcement and is an ordained minister.
Danny has met Presidents, the Pope and World Leaders on his walk by faith.He co-founded Global Walk to instill international understanding, establish goodwill, & build sustainable peace. He stopped counting miles — his walks are a means to reach people with the love of God as in Isaiah 61:1.
Danny's wife, Jackie C. Garcia (Lt Col, USAF, retired), works side by side with him to inspire hope, share spiritual wisdom and render aid to the needy.How? Walking, praying, and meeting people where they are and showing them how to walk in the Spirit.
