Welcome to The Squared Circle Podcast! I am your host, Marie Shadows, and on today's episode, I share my opinion about Okada becoming All Elite on yesterday's AEW Dynamite.
I am disappointed. I state my opinions and thoughts, and give an all round assesment of how not special Okada's debut was and how other debuts within AEW weren't special at all. I give my opinion and thoughts about what Bully Ray asked on Busted Open. I talk about Will Ospreay and how he needs to slow down in his matches and not give fans everything on a platter.
I fear that Ospreay will defeat wrestlers within three weeks time and not have anyone else. That's what AEW does: sets up wrestlers to be hot and have momentum and then they fade away.
It's disappointment because there will be nothing fresh if all the NJPW stars are just traveling to AEW and AEW doesn't have a vision for them for the long term. There's nothing special here.
Please listen fully and openly, because I know this doesn't line up with the echo chamber thoughts of the IWC where you have to agree with them that everything is awesome about AEW when AEW hasn't changed.
