The S&P 500 just had a big day, up 1.7%, breaking through the 50-day moving average. But before we get too excited, let’s remember that we’re still near the top of the 10-year range with little fundamental change driving this move. The Fed’s next move? Traders are pricing in a 75% chance of a 25 bps cut, but the question remains whether that really justifies this rally.

With the VIX down at 15, long volatility plays could be interesting, especially as we head into the weekend. If you’re trading, keep an eye on those opportunities.
