Description

What kind of man was Jesus? Why does a good God allow us to suffer? Do healing miracles happen today? What does it mean to be healed or saved? What does Christianity have to say about immigration and race? You've probably heard that Christians strive to love God and their neighbour, but did you know that the Bible teaches us just as forcefully to love the foreigner?

These are some of the topics I address in this narrative, testimonial and thematic message! In this sermon, I retell two stories from the Gospel of Matthew. The narrative I have written is fictional, but the historical and living words of scripture have been grafted into the storyline. Like in The Chosen, I attempt to imagine what it might have been like to be "Simon the Leper" or "Julius the Centurion."

I play the piano intros myself. In this episode, the piece is Adagio from Beethoven's Grande Sonate Pathétique. Feedback of any kind is welcome. Thanks for listening in and enjoy!
