Hi there SAM here with Safe Heart Connections I'm the founder and community host we're on a journey of 30 days to create a life of self love each day. I am sharing an affirmation, a task, and a journal prompt that will help us be well on our way at the end of those 30 days to creating a life of self love.
And so if you are new to safe heart connections, we're glad you're here. If you've been around for a while, we're glad you're back and let's go ahead and dig in and look at our affirmation for today. I embrace my authenticity and allow myself to shine brightly in the world. I think for many of us, we haven't felt safe enough to be authentic that we hide who we really are.
And so when you start to create a life of self love, one of the things you'll notice is that it will be a little bit easier for you just to be authentic. To be who you are, you'll be able to show up in the world in a really cool way. So our affirmation for today is a really great one. I embrace my authenticity and allow myself.
And then our task for today would be to disconnect from technology for a designated period of time and engage in offline activities. So you get to choose the amount of time you want to do this for. I have found because I work with needing to be online for whether it's email or social media or any of those types of online things, it's really hard for me to do those disconnecting things.
But pick a time. We can all disconnect for a little while, even if it's just an hour. If you're able to take a weekend off, maybe consider taking the whole weekend off of social media and to see how that feels for you.
I know in my life, I am more dependent on social media than I'd like to acknowledge. And so taking these times to actually disconnect helped me. Be more mindful and be more present and doing things that are not tied to a computer or my phone. And so the journal prompt is tied to that.
