How do you lead widespread systems change? From a place of humility, transparency, and curiosity. How do you find a fun way to do it? Through comedy improv.
John is the CEO of The Delware River Port Authority (DRPA), looking after the four bridges between Philadelphia and Camden, including the PATCO high speed line. He chairs the board of trustees at Camden County College, and he serves on the board of directors at the African American Museum in Philadelphia.
He trained in long form improv at the Philly Improv Theater, and together with several tenured Philly improv comics and port authority key players, created an applied improv program, improving teamwork and communication across DRPA's many lines of business.
