- What are some things you really value in a profession and why?
- How would you feel if one of your children wanted to pursue being a pastor or other full-time ministry? Why?
- How could you as an individual, or we as a church, better evaluate and encourage our pastors and called workers using the qualifications in 1 Timothy 3? What challenges do our called workers face in upholding these qualifications?
- In Verse 15 Paul calls the church "God’s household… the church of the living God... and the pillar and foundation of the truth.” What comfort but also what motivation does this give for you and for our pastors and called workers?
- Meditate on Verse 16. How does this verse deepen your appreciation and understanding of Christ's work?
