If you want to move your business forward, you need to have annual and quarterly goals that are specific and measurable. Without goals and a plan to achieve them, you will wonder throughout the year never knowing how much progress has been made or how close you are to accomplishing something meaningful.
For annual goals, I suggest setting between 3 - 5. These are big picture and should be written with the S.M.A.R.T. framework in mind.
Once your annual goals are defined, you can break them down into smaller goals for each quarter. Your quarterly goals, or quarterly missions, allow you to measure along the way and define key milestones towards reaching your larger annual goals.
