It might not just be the fact that I’m turning 60 in a couple of months time, but over recent months and years I’ve personally had much more interest in the topic of longevity and living a longer and healthier life.
So, I was delighted to catch up with a former colleague from many years ago and somebody who is really blazing a trail, in darkest Milton Keynes - Neil King with his Longevity branded Health and Wellbeing Studio.
Neil is an industry legend, someone who has led franchise operation Energie Fitness as well as 1Life and has always been innovative in roles with Fitness First and especially Everyone Active. I hope you find this as fascinating a discussion as I did as we touch on the increasing need to bring the 'health' element back into 'health and fitness'.
Neil gives us a real interesting and insightful look into this world of metabolic health, longevity and personalisation and quite frankly what he’s doing is providing inspiration for the rest of us to seriously consider how we can support people in a much broader wellness spectrum than we currently do.
