In this episode of Voices of Dreamers we welcome Gabriela. Gabriela or Gaby for short shares her story of a DACA recipient who came to the U.S. at 13 years old from Venezuela. Gaby tells her family’s story and the decision they made to leave a Venezuela which at the moment was on the brink of economic and political turmoil. Gaby reflects back on the sacrifices her parents made , the challenges of being undocumented, she recounts the bittersweet moments of leaving loved ones behind. Gaby opens up about the impact the Venezuelan crisis had on her family.
