Killin' Folks for Funzies Month caps off with the first foreign language film to appear on the podcast, the originator of the "battle royale" genre of film and video games, Battle Royale.
The film follows 40 9th grade students (and two "transfers") that are forced to an abandoned island where the only way to escape is by being the last man standing in a game of kill or be killed. The event is part of a Government mandated event ruled under the B R act, which was enforced after hundreds of thousands of students protested school and youth crime rates skyrocketed, plummeting Japan into economic downturn.
Next month's movie lineup has been revealed on social media, so be sure to follow us on Twitter and Instagram @mangledmoviepod to find out the next films to watch!
