I'm sure the average football fan has no idea of the types of things that goes on behind the scenes with football players, but this video shows that even referees are subject to detailed analysis too!
Jordan Tattersall is the guest today and he is currently a performance analyst at the PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials Ltd), the organisation that looks after the referees in England. Before this current role, he spent time as an evaluation analyst and we go into the roles he covered in of these positions.
I had no idea what referees get, especially at the top level, in preparation for a match. It is clear that Jordan and the rest of the team at the PGMOL work hard to continually improve the standard of officiating overall.
