In this conversation, George shares what goes on behind the scenes in a senior position of a football club. I have known George from back when I was an intern, and back then, George was a coach and head of education.
The skills he has picked up over many years working in the game allowed him to pivot to a General Manager role, first at Tamworth, before moving onto Chester, and currently Rochdale.
George talks over club finances, ownership, facilities and dealing with unexpected problems. A football club can be an extremely complicated business and so it is with the help of people like George, that things can run as smooth as possible.
