Luke talks with Douglas Egerton about Abolitionism, Reconstruction, and the life and times of the abolitionist and social activist Thomas Wentworth Higginson. According to John Brown’s biographer, David Reynolds, Higginson carried forward Brown’s “Abolitionist spirit” more than anyone else.
