This week’s guest is Barry Devereux, Managing Partner at McCann Fitzgerald. Barry joined McCann FitzGerald in 1998 as a partner and became managing partner in 2015. He has wide-ranging domestic and international transactional experience, gained over 25 years in Dublin, London and Singapore, 10 years of which was with the global law firm Clifford Chance. He has particular expertise in privatisations, M&A and corporate finance transactions. Barry previously headed the firm’s Corporate Finance Group, leading a team of 25 lawyers engaged in high-profile M&A and equity capital markets deals, including many of Ireland’s most significant corporate transactions. James sits with Barry to discuss his career, the changes and challenges it has brought him and the advice he would give to those thinking of entering the legal profession.
