This week’s guest is, publisher of the Business Post, author and avid adventurer, Enda O’Coineen. Enda began his career at the age of 21, when he sailed on a small boat from the US to Ireland. From then on he was has seen and completed multiple sailing races and challenges. One of these was the Vendee Global around the world sailing race which he completed in 2017. The Course covers a distance of 40, 075km where skippers must go around the world through three capes: ‘Good Hope’, ‘Leeuwin’ and ‘Horn’ all without stopping and without assistance. It has been nicknamed the “Everest of the Seas”. Enda’s other work experienced includes bringing credit facilities and cheap communication to central and East European Europe, especially the Czech Republic and Poland, after the fall of the Berlin Wall. He is also the author of the best-selling book about his sea adventures – Journey to the Edge. Currently Enda is the publisher of the Business Post. James sits down with Enda to discuss his career, the challenges and changes he has overcome and the importance of having passion for your work.
