In Episode 37 of The Steak Lad Experience, I was privileged to sit down with ex-AFL player Mitch Wallis.
Mitch and I (although a few years apart) went to the same school meaning that I have always had admired him from afar, before and after his AFL career.
I observed from early on when we were introduced that he was an incredibly deep thinker which I believe is most certainly highlighted throughout our discussion. We touched on the “emotional rollercoaster” that came after his exit from the AFL, his intense focus towards bettering himself and how that impacted those around him, the highs/lows from his time in the AFL, how he has found purpose in his current endeavours and much more.
Mitch was very open about the implications the above events had on his personal/professional development, providing some incredible insight towards the importance of embracing the moment and learning to move on from adversity.
